Is it normal to be racist?

The thing is, we humans are a pack animal. So we tend to find things outside of our "pack" a little intimidating and thus the natual response is some form of agression. Obviously over the years we've managed to subdue this for the better but, the basic instinct is still there. At least that's my theory. But then, what do I know i'm just some guy.

The human race is sadly a discriminative race who finds reasons to discriminate intentionally and unintentionally.

i was talking to a girl on tinychat once, she was pretty nice and eventually she started using her webcam. i never thought i was racist but when she went on cam and i saw she was black i was surprised to find that i immediately thought of her much differently.
so yes its normal.

It's very normal. It's human nature to categorize things, whether it's times and dates, nationalities, skin colour, etc. We categorize people according to what music they listen to, what clothes they wear, what literature they like, etc.

it's mean. you might as well be prejudiced against people with different hair colors, it's the same thing. skin color doesn't even matter.

I'm not really racist but I love racism.

I find this normal, but very queer, repulsive, harsh, shallow, and a terrible thing for a person to be. Don't judge by skin color, race, just judge by personality, attitude, content of character.
If you are considering it, count reasonable reasons. I support your decision, but I think it is very, very shallow to do so. :(

I hate everyone, well almost everyone equally, but I really hate mexicans/hispanics/latinas/latinos whatever lil spin their putting on their name, or indian, LOL that ones a riot, indian. but yeah most are illegal and have 25 kids while american taxpayers pay for those illigitmate brown mouthes are fed, let's just have whites, indians and blacks in this country, even the orientals are money hungry and usually live in a better house than you.

Its definitely normally in my neck of the woods. I live in a very small town That was known for major involvement in the kkk. We had a sign at the start of town That said <n word> don't let the sun set on your ass. It was taken down But most if the older folks on town are still very racist. I grew up thinking all black people were bad and worthless. But I grew up and realized those people are idiots. I now have a very close black friend who my daughter loves and calls uncle Joe. So I think it is normal depending on where you grow up. Maybe if you befriend a person of a different race you will feel different.

You have to admit that some stereotypes are hilarious though. Of course stereotypes should never be taken seriously. There's only one race, it's the human race. Humans likes to organize things and it's easier when they're categorized, to save time and make life easier. Just don't take racism to the extreme *cough*Hitler*cough*.

No it's not normal to be racist, it is normal to have a general view of a race but each person you meet can't be judged by your overall view of a race, they need to be judged as individuals, the fact is that blacks have an average of 15 less IQ points than whites so generally speaking they are less intelligent than whites, it's the same way Asians have a higher average IQ than whites, many blacks may be smarter than whites and many Asians may be less intelligent but overall that's what the races are like as a whole, it's like saying germans like sausage, it's not true for every one but overall it is

Everyone has got feelings about different cultures, but remember there is good and bad in every culture and that you should not judge a whole culture based on a few bad individuals.

I take people one at a time. There are cultures of people I detest. I hate dirty, redneck, unambitious people. Skin color doesn't matter. It's the culture and the way they live.
