Is it normal to be "proud' of having calluses?

I'm a girl. I have calluses in my hands from all the workouts I've been doing (specially from weight lifting). I know calluses are not exactly pretty but I'm kind of proud of them. I mean, I've always had perfectly maintained hands, moisturized and with painted nails. Now they're ugly but that means I'm working hard right? Is this too weird? Have you ever been proud of something like this?

Its normal. I'm a dancer, and I love my calluses. I also feel proud when I loose my toenails lol.

I don't see anything abnormal about this. They're the equivalent of your battlescars. As a man, I also don't think it'd be unattractive because they signify something important to you.

It's actually nice to read a story like this on IIN because it's so positive. People could learn something from your attitude.

I'm proud of my calluses but they're from guitar and I'm also a guy. However I still think it's normal for you to be proud. It's a reminder of your progress and that's a good thing.

More so if you got them from real work instead of exercise, but I suppose it still makes sense.

It's normal. They're like the physical reminders of your accomplishments. People have the same mentality. It's kind of the same with tattoos.
