Not the ones that actually misspell grammar, but the people who correct them by saying "Your grammar is off. It's grammar."
I don't know why this bugs me, but I'm tired of seeing two dozen comments bitching about someone's spelling and the resulting trolling. Is this normal?
ridiculing people's spelling and grammar is one of my favorite online pastimes. However, I only do it when the person's spelling and grammar are so bad that it makes it difficult to read the story, or if there are mistakes in the heading, where they truly ought to have been caught.
Absolute BS . Those grammar types are just pea brains with such small minds that they just can't get though something or understand it unless it fits into their tiny and such limited spectrum .
Morons , they make me sick.
And have you ever read what they usually have to say - after correcting you , it's usually either some ridiculous f'n comment that's just proved they haven't even come close to grasping the gist of whatever the post was about or , they actually come right out and admit it with something like " I don't understand what you are asking ", or some other garbage .
Yet to see an actual intelligent comment from one of the fools .
Ugh, same! THey think they're SO damn smart and heroic because they can point out a few misspellings and just have to show off how incredibly intelligent they are. -_-
I'll say that I've gotten on a couple people for using excessive chatspeak, that just bothers the hell out of me. I find it hilarious when a troll tries to insult people with their horrible lack of english skills.
But when there's an argument on youtube between someone whose spelling is just a little off, and a grammar nazi starts off his/her side of the argument with "First off, you spelled ___ wrong", you can tell it's just some arrogant ass who thinks they're right about everything, or they just can't come up with a better comeback. They have to insult to make themselves feel better. :]
But still there's no excuse really for bad spelling.
It's not to do with intelligence since most people should be able to spell correctly anyway.
The only thing that really bugs me is when people just use text speak constantly or deliberately mispell words.
Actually, they are better than others. They're certainly better than you.
Grammar-Nazis correct you when they notice a comma splice,
Grammer-Nazis try to kill you if you criticize the TV show "Frasier".
Anyone notice my comma splice? XD
