Is it normal to be paranoid about being the guy with body odor

In 8th grade, I had this huge crush on this girl. One day, while we where in the lunch line she told me that I smelt like soup or fart. She was polite about it, but I was still completely devastated. I went to the restroom to check my situation and it was true... I could smell my feet a little... But I didn't think i smelled like fart. Anyway..She told me this a few times throughout that year and despite my efforts.. I was still the stinky kid in school. I'm 30 now, and as a grown ass man i probably spend too much time grooming. My wife teases me, but I'm constantly smelling myself. Is anyone else paranoid the they might stink?

    I always think I smell but people tell me otherwise. My girlfriend loves my smell so I am more confident but I still am self conscious. I hate when I get sweaty and automatically assume I am smelly. When I get this way, I ask my girlfriend what do I smell like and she usually says, "like deodorant!" I use Old Spice and am a particularly sweaty individual.

    Yes i have seen this before there was i girl i knew that didn't let people hug her because she thought she smelt.

    She was probably using you as an excuse xD She'd walk over to you, let on rip, then blame it on you. It's pretty bad when someone blames their fart on you and you actually beleive it.
