Is it normal to be only attracted to women with certain names?

I was wondering if it is normal to only be attracted to women with a particular name. For some reason, the 3 women I have dated and several others I considered dating were all named Jessica or Katherine. A lot of the time when I meet a girl, just knowing that this is her name makes her seem so much more appealing. It's possible that this is really common name for Asian women. Anyone else?

    That sounds like a coincidence rather than a preference.

    Maybe hearing names of women you used to be interested in just make new people with the same name bring up good thoughts?

    Although, ONLY being attracted to women with certain names is NOT normal.

    Girls who share the same name as either ex-girlfriends or girls I've previously had crushes on often seem more attractive to me than they otherwise would, so I kind of get where you're coming from.

    That sounds kind of odd actually. I mean it doesn't even sound like a preference it just seems like that name really gets your infatuation going.

    I get a sense of age from names. Katherine sounds about 28. Megan is 23. Amanda sounds 14. Laura 16. Mary is 40. Muriel is 70. Jessica sounds about 5.

    It's not ridiculous and I can support this "theory"...

    Certain names seem appealing to me and therefore make a woman become/seem more attractive to me at least...

    I'm more attracted to feminine sounding and exotic names.
    Names I like: Asha, Manoshi, Carina
    Names I dislike: Gertrude, Genevieve or Beatrice lol

    I kinda get where your coming from for example I tend to be interested in guys with the letter beginning with J, that's prob because my first real crush had the name Jack. However, I don't go for a guy based on his name, if he happened to have a name starting with the letter J then cool haha

    Its odd but I think I know what you mean. I find that I have practically zero attraction to people of names that I don't like or that are thoughtless and silly. Then again, I find myself not too fond of old-fashioned names, though, that doesn't mean that I wouldn't be attracted towards someone with an "old" name. It's complicated.

    Every amy I have been with so far has turned out to be a real psycho. I dont think it is the name that is the problem I believe itis me that is fucked up.

    I don't know about liking people only because of their name...but i know there are some names i hate and i guess that could affect how i see them. The same could be said for liking the name.
    I'd say if you like or hate things like names then it's probably due to association.
    Maybe every person you've heard of with the name Katherine was attractive, and so now you like the name.

    My girlfriend's name is Caroline. And that makes her so much more appealing, strangely. If her name was a common name like Ashley or Samantha I probably wouldn't like her as much. It's weird o_O
