I'm telling the truth here, this Is NOT about me. My best friends cousin is obsessed with this video game called animal crossing city folk. All she ever talks about is that game. Once, I was talking to her about my cat, then out of nowhere she said "in animal crossing city folk, u can talk to animals, and one of thems a cat! Coincidence, right?" I think she's about 9 or maybe 8 or 7. Is it normal and how can I get her to focus on the real world?!?

Real world sucks, let her have her fun she is just a kid. A child is not an adult to be made to work and study their entire childhood away, a child needs to escape, explore, and have fun. Otherwise you end up with Michael Jackson as an adult.

Omg I love animal crossing (I have the DS version though) I got it for my 16th birthday and I'm 20 now and still play it (although not as much) It is one of the greatest games imo... I often find myself sitting for hours here in the REAL world playing around with pixels on a screen mostly because i find many other things boring...

Of course this is normal!
I've played all the animal crossing games throughout my childhood.
It's just a stage, sooner or later she'll get bored of it.

Too bad Animal Xing isn't a game that can be finished. I recently spent about 5 days playing Earthbound/Mother 2 obsessively. However, I beat the game... now clearly my obsession has passed.

Animal Crossing is the best! Their movie is okay though, but the game is awsome! I'm sad now... I lost my DS card in a store. I have to share with my sister and we can't visit each other's town... T^T
