Is it normal to be obsessed/in love with a fictional charater

i havent told anyone this and im hoping i never will. but i think ive had an obsession for a few years now. about a playstation charater called crash bandicoot. (this started to form when i was 5 or 6) im crazy about him when i was little i would always talk about him, always think about him, always play the ps2 game, until my family started saying that i was in love with him. (this embarassed me so much that i completely stopped talking about him)

but....

all i thnk about is him, ive even made up adventures and new bad guys and everything, i even think of him in a cooler stronger and handsomer form, and ive made up my own charates :L . i write draw and i go crazy with this strange excited (adrenalin rush) in my body when i read someone elses crash bandicoot stories online that are involved with his emotions and heroic deeds and love. ive tried to forget about him all these years but i get an urge to think about him. and i seriously cant stop.

can i have some advice please? im worried...
