I just feel so normal but I know normal isn't normal in this abnormal world.. I'm slowly losing my quarters, nickles and dimes because there is a damn hole in my pocket yet the lint stays put. You know what I'm saying metaphorically? Don't pretend you don't have a clue.
Everyone you see is normal. the people who are truly ''abnormal'' in the sociological sense, are locked away... what you want to be is unique. everyone is unique but in different ways. i know what you mean but you have to find what it is that sets you apart from everyone else. like what you said, that was a nice metaphor it made me laugh and say, wtf? that was pretty much unique
Normalcy shifts to fit the situation, the culture, the world. It constantly reinvents itself.
You fail at logic.
You're asking "IIN to be normal in an abnormal world".
If the the answer is yes, then it's normal, which makes you the minority against the abnormal world, and thus, abnormal.
If the answer is no, it's NOT normal, so you're abnormal, just like the rest of the world, which would make you normal.
It's similar to the whole paradox of expecting the unexpected.
Dear Old self who originally posted this question, you are not normal nor have you ever been.. Thankfully. Normalcy is something you can't define. What is normal? Is normal being the cookie cutter neighbor or person everyone else expects you to be while pushing back your true inner self? Conforming to that is completely abnormal. So no, you are not normal and that's great!
If were Normal as everyone else than whats the point in life If we don't advance from perfect or normal were do we go from then that's why we are all abnormal and unite in ways
