Is it normal to be nervous about becoming engaged?

I'm getting ready to purchase an engagement ring. I love my girlfriend and whole-heartedly believe there isn't another girl out there who can treat me as well as she does. Why is it, then, that I'm so nervous about buying the ring? Is it because I'm still young (25)? Is this normal?

    I don't know why you're nervous, I'd be so happy to be at that stage with my girlfriend right now. Maybe you're thinking about what it involves? Like marriage someday or her parents opinion, your friends or whoever else..
