I believe you have a case of to much internet.
I'd say 90% of the people I know are straight and monogamous (when in a relationship)
It's still the norm, it's just been the norm for so long other types of relationships are finally getting celebrated as they should be
Sadly it appears uncommon especially on sites like this, and even looked down upon (monogamy anyway, even if you both enjoy it, people will consider you "boring" / prudish, just because you've found someone you truly love)
Normal, it's just that these people (I'm not homophobic or anything..) are more inclined to tell everyone and everything what sort of a super unique special snowflake free spirit they are.

Right, because straight people never tell everyone and everything how straight they are and how much they love being straight. They never talk about their significant others, never post pictures of them, never go anywhere with them.
Give me a fucking break. Straight people do the exact same things "those people" do, it just stands out more to you when "those people" do it because...you don't like it when they do it.
If you don't want people to think you're homophobic, you should probably stop saying and thinking homophobic things.

I'm 100% hetero and monogamous. Yeah, I tried to see if I was attracted to women, but there was nothing there to be attracted to, we have all the same parts ya know... I thought about becoming poly, but having to deal with multiple partners seems chaotic, I can't even have too many friends without feeling emotionally exhausted.
Anyway, be prepared for dumb fucks to call you "innocent," "naive," or "humans weren't meant to be monogamous," or "everyone is on a spectrum," bullshit. You do you. If you find a guy you trust, date him for more than 2 years and live with him for a while before you consider marriage.
Normal to be straight and monogamous, abnormal to worry so much about what other people do and compare yourself to them.
What should you do? Live your life and be happy, stop caring what other people do.
Monogamous relationships are the boring track of life, get married have kids and become consumers. It's presented as the thing to do so people with no interests will focus on reproducing and adding more dumb drone people to the work force
