Ok so this is my sister. She's been married for probably 4 yrs to her highschool sweetheart. They have a two yr old kid. Well she's never farted in front of him and the idea of even taking a poop at their own house while he's home petrifies her. She actually pooped in a foodlion trashbag while he was in the shower because she really had to go and they only have one bathroom..do other couples really go through these kinds of efforts to keep pooping and farting a secret or is she just a freak?

    Not normal.
    Farting in front of other person takes courage and trust, they're married but they haven't achieve this. You can be a tight-arse at work, not with your family.

    Well I don't know If it's normal because I have been with my boyfriend for 2 1/2 years and I don't fart in front of him. So maybe were both not so normal...but I have never taken a poo in a bag....that's pretty funny

    My husband and I have been together for 7 years. I don't think there is anything we DON'T do in front of eachother. It just depends on how close the relationship is and being confident and comfortable enoughh. Although its not very ladylike or gentlemanlike, its wonderful to know that we know EVERYTHING about eachother and still love one another.

    It's nice that they have respect for each other to not fart around each other. But if they are ashamed about it then they shouldn't be. And I'm sure they've probably slipped one while around each other before, being that there probably around each other a lot. It's nothing to be ashamed of, it's human nature.

    I know people like that. I think Its pretty normal. My husband and I are not like That. At all. If I gotta go then I gotta go. We only have one bathroom and I also have irritable bowl so I learned pretty quick to get over the whole pooping farting around each other thing
    And my husband is awesomely cool so it never bothered him.

    I agree with beautifully broken. It's about being respectful of your partner. You wouldn't fart out loud around other people because you want to be respectful of them, so why shouldn't your partner get the same respect?
