Is it normal to be madly in love with my bisexual, asshole bestfriend?

I am crazy for my best friend. He's male, I'm female, we're the same age and, worst of all, we live together!!
He says he is bisexual, but I think he's just undecided. He hasn't ever been with a man, but he's had feelings for both equally.
He doesn't treat me very nicely. In fact, he's a bit of a wanker. I do everything I can for him but he behaves pretty awfully towards me.
We have kissed drunkenly in the past but he's told me he doesn't feel the same way.
Basically, is it normal to be in love with your sexually confused, unkind best friend, even when you know these emotions are totally destructive!?
