Is it normal to be irritated by this?

I was driving around today and saw probably the 3rd "COEXIST" bumper sticker in 30 minutes and looked away in disgust. I get severely irritated by those stickers, I see them all over the place. Each religion on the sticker has different beliefs and coexistence doesn't work too well nowadays. Such as the Star of David for the Jews and the C for Islam. I hate the whole "coexist" concept. Does anyone else get annoyed or hate this?

    My problem with the whole idea of secularism is that it seems to have morphed into an anti-christian movement.

    The coexist Stickers seem to be lies, cause some people with those tend to be assholes. It doesnt annoy me untill i see some of the other stickers, like OBAMA 08, a big peace sign, a pot leaf, and in one instance a canadian flag.

    Im not bothered by these alone, Except for obama, but these together on one car usually spells trouble.

    its like seeing the JESUS fish, cause they are also assholes, and just as stupid.

    A lot of people use these as an excuse to be a douchebag.

    Those ppl with those stickers are usually the most intolerant, you just gotta mention the "right" (or should i say wrong?) Thing to them.

    We can't coexist yet, we're clearly not ready for it. When we're out shooting up schools, killing ppl who only want peace and not giving a bakers fuck about the next generation (which i kinda don't...just like the boomers did with my Gen) and those are bad things.

    We have primate brains that say: give peace a chance
    We have mammalian brains that say: give peace a chance, but if no dice then kill em all
    And then finally the reptilian brain (my personal fav): screw peace, kill em all and then go get laid at the after party.

    Ask the British to look through one of those history books, or the Germans in the last 90 years.

    We're not ready for "peace and coexisting", not even with being "Zukked" for quoting fav shows & movies, or the constant "peace rallies" and anti bullying campaigns.

    There will always be "reptilian brained" ppl, just make sure you're playing for both sides, so you're always on top 👌

    The bumper sticker was thought up by a wishful thinking idealist, that has no clues pertaining to the details of successful diplomacy.

    Those stickers annoy me too because COEXIST seems to me to be a huge contradiction. How can all those religions be intertwined? Or maybe I'm missing the concept.

      I don't get how all can 'coexist' because Muslims and Jews/Christians I just don't see that going over well.

        lol Not to mention that most religions all direct they're worship towards a different god, moral standing, or different book.. even if it did make sense to say they could all be combined into one belief somehow it would never not be contradicting in less than 5 ways.

    It would be nice if coexistence was manageable, but it appears we are far from that point and have to go through more suffering before we can get there. Your feelings are normal for this time period.
    @radar, What is wrong with the NRA? They are standing up for the rights our forefathers fought for. I am glad to have that right, for I would much rather have a gun and not need it, than need a gun and not have it.
