Is it normal to be irritated/annoyed at people for little to no reason

I ask this because I recently find people annoying. For example, I would get annoyed if people say I spelled a word wrong and rub in my face like I committed a crime. I correct people also, but I don't make a big deal out of it. I am so annoyed with people who make me look dumb and stupid. I have a disability, but I am smarter than what people make me to be.I'm only happy with a few friend's I have, the rest of them piss me off. I know this problem is my doing since I could just ignore people like that.

It gets annoying when someone you know you're smarter than, corrects you. I misspoke, one time, with guy I knew, Todd, saying foray instead of forte. Todd wasn't the smartest guy, and, his job was taking photos of fruit and veggies for a supermarket flyer company. Not exactly rocket science.

I made the error, and Todd nearly jumped all over it. "I think you mean forte. Forte, not foray..It's forte". I wanted to scream at him, but opted not to. Was dying to say, fine, I get it, I made a mistake..Now, go back to taking photos of iceberg lettuce!

Well, correcting people's spelling is kind of a lame thing to do, to be honest. I know that my writing skills are legit but I don't feel the need to exert them with everything that I write. That would be way too mentally taxing. Some people do see you correcting them as rubbing it in their face.

Other than that, it does seem to be common for people to be irritable.

    • I'm aware of that. What I meant by this is I could be just correcting people like this "*you're". However some people correct me if I spelt batteries wrong like this "you do know batteries has the ies ending like candies" like I'm a dumbass. A friend did this and it pissed me off

To be fair, the *your/*you're thing is universally considered the kind of correction you make when you're intentionally trying to be a dick. 9 times out of 10, the people making this correction are doing it to be dicks.
