Is it normal to be in love with someone who might not even exist?

I think it is very romantic and seems like its sonmething we could make a movie out of.

I once had a dream meeting a cute blind girl walking her dog in the park, we talked and really connected, she gave me her number and I felt ecstasy, like the feeling you get when you fall in love, that butterflies-in-stomach deal topped off with an out of body experience, and then I woke up.

I'd give anything to see her again, you don't know how lucky you are to dream the same person over and over again, I want to dream! I don't want your dreams to ever stop, you can feel emotions amplified x10. but I can only dream once every 2 months, only when I wake up and fall back to sleep again.

Maybe he is your dream guy once I met a guy I saw in my dreams, later he turned out gay...but meantime we had some fun :)

lol, my friend gets that and tries to find the man in her dreams in the real world. I guess if it's such a realistic experiance it's normal. Just like seeing someone everyday you are physical with makes you fall in love.

As long as you don't go sycho about it and tell the whole world he's real than you are normal

i had a dream a long time ago that i met this guy and he was so amazing and we had the best time together and i was like omg i found the one, this is so awesome!!! then i woke up and nearly cried i was so upset it wasnt real..it sucks and i always wondered who that guy was and how i made him up

No, it's not insanity at all. What it IS, exactly, I'm not sure. Just keep it in your mind. One day, it will mean something.

more quirky rather than crazy, probably just a sign of loneliness(which i am sure is normal)
are you having problems with friends/partner not listening to you? or maybe you just need the excitement of meeting someone new perhaps?

I know this is old but... I dream of her. I can see her eyes glistening emeralds. Her brown black hair with highlights of red. Her smile and her laugh. I've dreamt of her for years now. And she's always the same girl just different names. Sometimes it's Suri, sometimes she goes by Ayana or Aniya. She looks Indian or Asian and she's amazing... But I can't find her she's not real. It makes me sad but I made her the heroin of my books.

Hi guys ( THIS IS REALLY EXCITING) well let's say that I've met this boy like 2 weeks ago (IRL) and I kinda felt like I like him (as a friend or something) but it's kinda not right for us to date cuz our families know each other and stuff so it won't work out so anyways I thought about him for some times and I once had a dream about him that he is hiding from his parents and he was with me and he said don't let them know I was confused and then they came knocking anyways this is the first dream I had about him the second one was so amazing we were in love and stuff and the surprising thing is that I met him by chance (in the dream) and he protected me (from someone that was after me in the dream) and I fall more in love with him and at the end I had to travel out of the country and I kept texting him he never answered for a long time and then I suddenly met him with another girl and it was his girl friend and he didn't actually talk to me much and later I felt like he just did that as an accuse cuz it's like he's not allowed to leave or something idk! When I woke up I was happy and sad (happy cuz I travelled to a nice country and sad cuz he wasn't with me) BTW the weird thing is in the dream his name was Malaysia (as I remember or at least something with the latter "M" ) in real life he's not from Malaysia but his name does have an M . What does that mean? REALLY THX for whoever who reads this and answers ❤️

u have no idea how lucky u are that this is a reoccurring dream. i still remember having a dream some years ago in which i met someone who became my girlfriend. when we first met in the dream, she was always passing notes to me through other people. eventually, we started dating. i wont bore u with all the details of the dream, but when i woke up, i was devastated. i just couldn't accept the fact that not only was she gone, but she had never existed in the first place. i tried every night for a very long time afterwards to dream about her again, but i never could. eventually, i just had to accept the fact that i might never see her again. i never really talk about this with people in real life for fear that they might think i'm crazy, but whenever i hear the song on the radio that i heard shortly after that dream, i still tear up a bit.

Yes, it is completely normal so don't worry. Hopefully you see the person in reality.

I have had the same thing... Serial dreams... And they have not stopped since 2010! They take small breaks like seasons in series but they're still around. I will find you, Louise! I promise you!

Glad I found this site! I have no one to talk to about this. The same thing has been happening to me lately. Been having dreams about this guy that I've never met before in my life, and they're always erotic in some way. And he is GORGEOUS. A musician with long wavy blonde hair that touches his shoulders, bluish-green eyes. The dreams are so real that I even find myself thinking about him a lot (at school, at night in bed...).

I'm sorry, I'll stop haunting your dreams. I think there can be someone resembling him out there unless you imagine him have everything in life and that is pretty much ''perfect''.

I had a similar dream several years ago, the girl I met in the dream is still in my head, and I doubt she'll ever go away.
If I ever see a group of new people, I'll look out for her there.
I never see her.

Ya know what? it's highly probable that he actually is real yes he probably does exist. lol i thought i was alone, i had dreams about a boy with curly hair and brown eyes a lot for a while and i would just wake up in an amazing mood just from dreaming it and i would be mad when i wake up from them.

somebody told me that when you dream about a person you have never met its because you probably have seen that person in real life, but you just dont know them. maybe you see some1 at a crouded place like a concert, and at the moment you dont care, but then you have dreams about the person like you do. so that person probably does exist :)

It's possible that this person could exist, I think. Dreams do have some pseudo-mystical qualities. More than likely, though, it is just a dream.

I dream about women I've never met, too. However, I can't see their faces. Can you actually recall his face? If so, that's odd. Or so I think. I'm no expert, that's just my opinion.

I have the same problem...i dream about this guy alot that i know doesnt exist...he doesnt even have a name in my dream but it seems like i've known him forever...anyway its probably that you might be lonely so your subconscious is creating the "perfect guy" for you

this person is probably a model you saw in a magazine, or a random guy on the street that you forgot you saw. so yeah, he could be out there, but not as the person you imagine him to be : (

i had the same thing happen to me,it was only 2 nights and in the second one,he died in my arms,but i didnt even know his name ,still not sure if he's real or not i think i was in third grade when i got these dreams

I keep having sex dreams with the the same person. However I know that person in real life. I hardly talk to that person though
