My boyfriend is a fucking idiot, he has no common sense and is extremely gullible. But he's incredibly kindhearted, hardworking, loyal, supportive, and really good with children.

He doesn't have any learning disabilities, he's just genuinely dumb and too trusting, gets taken advantage of a lot. He grew up in an awful inner city and only made it to 9th grade before dropping out to help raise his siblings. Works as a welder, and bartends on the weekends to help put his little sisters through college.

I call him stupid all the time and tell him how he's a push over, he just shrugs it off.

A very sweet sweet man, but god is he dumb. I love him to death though.

    What you need to do is stop calling him stupid you're degrading the man that you love and he is a good man he works hard 2 jobs! he's good with children he's Dependable he's trustworthy and you should be so f****** lucky to have a man like that! count your f****** blessings and the fact that this man sacrifice so much to put his siblings before himself well that's just a f****** miracle!

    The many women in this world that don't have good men they have men that beat them and abuse them cheat on them leave them with children and don't take care of them or stick around and do f****** drugs and and get their kids taken away from them or worse yet molester children and cause so much guys in their life.

    You don't know how lucky you really are! If you don't want them I'll take him!!!!

    I find it very insulting very personally rude that you would treat him so degrading I think you need to find help and stop putting your husband down! Maybe start encouraging him to go back to school and give him the same support that he's giving everybody else in life where no one has gave him! Because that's what a real woman would do! Not put him down and make him feel small! For heaven sakes your the dumb one!

    FYI- he doesn't sound dumb at all he sounds humble!

    Even if he isn't all that sharp, it's very disrespectful for you to call him stupid. Therefore, while you say you love him, I've got to wonder how long you'll hang around abusing him. Mutual respect is vital in any relationship, and that seems to be missing in yours.

    He's clearly a hard-worker and he manages to hold down two jobs, so maybe he isn't as dumb as you believe he is. Truly stupid people rarely keep jobs for long, since the employer soon realizes that the mistakes they make and the time necessary to supervise them is just too expensive.

    Frankly, it sounds like you're either using him as a meal-ticket or lining him up to be one.

    Do him a favor and let him find someone who can respect him.

    You'd be doing yourself a favor too, since you'd then be free to find someone who matches your towering intellect.
