      That's years of people posting how they've fallen in love with their friend.

      Years of accumulated advice, responses, votes etc. And yet nobody bothers to search before hand and see just how many people have posted exactly the same thing. The funny thing is... This isn't even all of them. I got bored of copying and pasting. There are probably at least 20 more.

    There's a very big group of guys who feel like this. Every girl they build a friendly relationship with will feel like a crush. After you've had a couple of relationships and realise who you put your dick in doesnt really mean who you're in love with. After that you'll realise the difference between love and friendship. although girls will say guys only think with their dick for the rest of your life.

    And they say girls grow up faster than guys, implying they are more wise than guys....this has given me the lols all my life really

          That is over-generalizing; stereotyping. Anybody that is that way isn't happy deep down.

          That also includes being biased, prejudice and over-opinionated. There is a burden that person is holding and needs to embrace it and let go. Move on in life... negativity is a waste of time. Be happy don't worry.

    I think most of the time people do feel this for their friends when they're younger because friendship is one of the closest forms of relationship that you build outside of family. But that's not to discredit your feelings, because you may very well be in love.
