I'm in love with a female character and in real life. I'm female as well I'm just wonderin if its normal and what people think?
There are many characters I crush on as well. Princess Zelda, Ada Wong, Harley Quinn, Black Cat, Bulma etc. It's totally normal because if given the choice to have a little romance with fictional character I'm pretty sure alot of people who take that chance in a heartbeat. I'm trying to push for my girl to cosplay as Princess Zelda for me for some fun. I'm sort of getting there, fingers crossed.
Harley Quinn! I'm not really into Batman too much but I adore her! I went through a phase where I obsessively watched "Best Of" clips of her on Youtube (in fact, I might just start doing that again because you reminded me!) During this phase, I bought Harley Quinn Converse All-Star sneakers that I sadly haven't gotten a chance to wear because it's been snowing a lot here. :(
It's normal, but you should try to get past it. I used to be full-on in love with Rose Tyler from Doctor Who, but then I told myself, "Okay, there's no possible way this can go anywhere. You have to stop this."
I kind of geek out over Zuko from Avatar: The Last Airbender, but it's not love or anything. I learned my lesson about falling in love with people who aren't real.

Hahaha, that happened to me when I was 12-14. Hasn't happened to me as an adult, although I'll admit that Jamie Foxx's character in Django Unchained did really get my blood pumping :->

Yes I had few fictional girl crushes for example Saeko from Highschool of The Dead, Senjougahara from Bakemonogatari, Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII and Luna from Harry Potter~
It's normal, lots of people have crushes on fictional characters. I used to have a huge crush on Mrs. Lovett from Sweeney Todd. I found the actress who played her (Helena Bonham Carter) to be so attractive that I sought out other movies that she was in and fell in love with another character of hers, Marla Singer from Fight Club. I also have a crush on Lisbeth Salander from Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (mostly the version of her that was played by Noomi Rapace because Noomi Rapace was tougher, taller and more androgynous than Rooney Mara, so I found her to be more attractive).

Yep, and since it's a girl it could simply be that you're attracted to her personality or you relate to her (providing you're not a lesbian)
I have a fictional crush too, as well as real life crushes of course. He's my guilty secret. I can't help it, I try to convince myself I'm an idiot but it just ain't working. I'm probably way too old for this too!
