Is it normal to be in college and have never had a boyfriend?

I'm really freaked out about this, I feel like there's no hope for me and I'm going to die alone. But I was also wondering how common it is for this to be the case?

A lot of people have not had a boyfriend/girlfriend by 18 or 19. It's pretty normal. For many people, their first relationships happen in college. Some people even after that.

I'm 20 and never had a girlfriend or any kind of sexual contact, I used to feel bad about it but then I started not giving a fuck.

I didn't have a relationship in college (I'm a female). I had 2 male friends who did not lose their virginity until they were 22. Both of them are now married and have children. I am also married with no children (we have infertility issues).

It is hard to find a boyfriend. You are still very young. You have plenty of time to find one. It is common to be just dating or looking. I know it is hard if you really want one, but there is nothing wrong with you.

    It's normal.

Think of it as, you successfully avoided teenage pregnancy or sti/std. However, now you're considered an adult, which opens the gate for anyone 18+ to try and approach you.

I suggest you read about abusive relationships, and the warning signs; because with how low your confidence is about relationships in general, you might be a nice target for an abusive guy. Warning: abusers like to protray themselves as the perfect partner at the beginning to make you fall in love, so if a guy seem really perfect, likes everything you like, and just like a dream come true just from knowing him for a short time, then look more deeply into who he really is.

Next, trust your gut; if something doesn't feel right, then that uneasy feeking is probably right. And don't be afraid to ask questions and communicate with whoever you're dating.

Also, if you're a virgin, don't be afraid to take things slow and wait until you really trust the guy (and get free condoms or birth control from Planned Parenthood). If a man pressures you, gets impatient, give you the, "come on baby, we've been dating for months," after you said you're not ready, then break up.

Ahhh, there's a lot more, but that will come with experience. Main things that can ruin your life is abusive boyfriend, unwanted pregnancy by some dirtbag (if you're female), or an std. So be careful, and good luck. You'll get a boyfriend soon.
