Is it normal to be hurt

im 24 .my mother brought me and my sister up alone . shes had few boyfriends over the years but nothing serious .but her new friend she seems to like and he is nice guy .hes also the 1st thats stayed over and in mothers room . she seems happy and i am for her . but lately the noise coming from there room is doing my head in .i could be woken up in early hours my mother screaming . at 1st i thought she been attacked .but it use to be once a week when he stayed over now its nearly every night . last night i stormed in and seeing them made it worse . my mother told me to leave . next day she text me saying its years since shes been so happy and no way was i going to get in her way .i felt so hurt . i hate him
