Is it normal to be homicidal as a kid?

When I was about 6-7 I remember contemplating killing my parents in their sleep. The reason was because I didn't like being told what to do such as go to school, or go to bed. I was seriously thinking this as I remember but I also understood that I would go to jail. I also remember when I was about 10-11 I planned on shooting up the school to the point where I stole my dads gun, but I wussed out in the end. Do most kids think about this stuff?

          I still think about this stuff, but I wouldn't do it without good reason.
