Is it normal to be head over heels for my best friend?

Okay so I met this girl like 4 months ago, and I kinda liked her but I thought whatever, it's just a hormonal teenage thing, but then she said something about being ugly and I quietly said she wasn't, this was one of the first times I had spoken to her, she said thank you and started talking to me alot all of a sudden, it turns out she thought I was gay for a while, but I'm not, then slowly I started to ACTUALLY like her, pretty soon I could have sworn I was in love with her, then she asked me who I liked and I can't lie to her so I told her the truth, she didn't talk to me for a day or so and then I was heart-broken, now we talk constantly, she's told me I am one of her two best friends, but to tell you the truth I totally am in love with her, she's told me she lives me before but as a friend, not in a romantic manner, is it normal?

  • Okay, so I tried that and it didn't work, I asked shortley after her telling she was thinking about kissing me, which for some reason she still turned me down, she told me she was unsure and that it seemed wrong to have fantasizing about "standing on my tiptoes with my arms wrapped around your waste kissing you on the lips" (exact words) and I was ahhhhhhhh, so any other suggestions people?

^^^ lol. Try to pursue something with her, if it doesnt work out..at least you tried. BUT if you value your friendship with her more than the idea of being together..I suggest you think about the negative impact it could cause. Talk to her, tell her how you feel. If she doesnt feel the same, its time to move on.
