Is it normal to be hated for calling yourself 'a nice guy'?

I have seen this a lot on websites a lot. When a person (usually male) calls themselves 'nice' over the internet he is hated almost instantly and called 'sexist','misogynist' and other names such as 'neckbeard' without even considering the point he was making and makes stuff up like 'you are probably unemployed' or 'you are a fat loser' without ever even meeting the person.

Depends on the context but i would say in most cases they use it as a stealthy way of saying "i'm better than any other guy", which is not taken too kindly. generally if they have to actually say it rather than proving it through their actions, it's just less meaningful...

I probably depends on the neckbeard who's going around calling himself a nice guy.

See this is what I mean.People keep saying nice guys don't finish last but when a guy says he is a nice guy over the internet he is immediately labelled as a 'neckbeard'.

Mwahahaha! It's because one does not declare one's self to be a nice guy, a badass, or a cool person; one simply is. To repeatedly declare one's self to be one thing or another is boorish, and tends to come off as bragging. It's not what people say that matters so much, but rather what they do.

  • A nice guy is a guy who is sexually frustrated because most women don't recognize a nice guy when they actually meet them.

Of course it could also be a scumbag who uses the term as a form of endearment.

"Nice guys", are the later, nice guys are the former. It's up to women to decide which is which.
