Is it normal to be gay and to find flaming gays really disturbing?

Even as an openly gay man, I've always for some reason found the lack of masculinity with flaming gays to be really disturbing. Despite that though, I'm a very liberal and accepting person. If you are good natured and genuine then I have no problem supporting you 100% of the way. I can get along with just about anybody regardless of style, personality, interests, etc.

I don't like it but I still believe in being mature enough to accept good people despite my mixed feelings. What do you guys think?

    Everyone has styles, behaviors and personality traits they just hate in other people. You're no more obligated to embrace flaming gay behavior than I am obligated to embrace the lifestyles portrayed on "Here Comes Honey Boo-Boo" because I live in the South.

    Of course, you know that you don't get to tell other people how to act -- but it doesn't sound like you're doing that, so yeah, I'd say it's totally normal.

    I know a gay dude who bitches every time RuPaul's drag race comes on ("YOU HAVE BALLS, ACT LIKE IT!"), so this isn't the first time I've heard this and it doesn't surprise me.
