I've come to realize and accept the fact that I'm gay. On the other hand, this past month I have come across a lot of homophobia.. so I'm curious; is it normal to be gay? Why or why not?
I'm hetero but I really hate homophones. I have a very religious cousin that is gay and a half brother. From what I have read, there is s possible genetic component as well as a possible hormonal influence from the mother in utero. Scientists have also found that the hypothalamus in a gay man is half the size of a hetero man. I have also read that gay men react differently to phermones. Another interesting article I read stated that women will have a gay son after having several sons. When people are being mean and ignorant, just leave. Find people that accept you and try to be happy. I had a "Christian" church lady in my office that was going on and on about gays. I said, "Maybe God sent gays to test your Christianity". She was at a total loss for words.

I think that it is not normal to be gay for any man in the world and that no man is born gay. I believe it is misguided sexuality and blindness for a man to be gay. If you feel gay, you should fight against those urges and try to be near women instead of being weak and accepting the comfort of the security you feel around men. Eventually you will straighten up.
It is one thing to be gay, and another to love men (as you would love any other person in the world as a human being), but there are some times that love can become mis-understood and mis-located. Just trust women and they will help you.
There is nothing to fear of women and being like a woman is not a "correct" way of being around them. If you are gay, why would you want to be around women anyway? HMM. Seems like you're not so gay afterall.
In the end it's all a matter of thought anyway. Think to yourself that you are not gay, that you are straight and that you want women and things will become as they should be.
Personally, I'm not homosexual, and I know I'll never be it, since I looove~ women.
And it's not normal to be gay. Don't get me wrong, it's OK to be gay, and if you want to be gay, be gay. But the majority of people just isn't gay, and thereby, it's not normal.
i completely agree with you. i have nothing against people who are gay, that is the lifestyle they have CHOSEN, whether it be what they are exposed to and how they grow up and how their encounters go with certain sexes, but you aren't just born gay. its unnatural and not normal. mammals are supposed to have sex with the opposite sex to pass both partners genes down to the next generation, but it is IMPOSSIBLE for gays to do this, therefore science proves it is unnatural. nuff said.

you say the majority of people aren't gay but how do you know that first thing to take into account have you done a worldwide survey and have you got any sort of evidence to back up what your saying secondly even if you have done any research you have to take into account the people that are gay but are too scared to admit it and thirdly why does normal have to be what the majority of people do or are by saying this your basically saying if the majority of people started to fuck animals this would automatically make beastiality normal.
Of course being gay is normal. You can't help who you fall in love with.
As a white gay male myself and being raised in a Christian home I say it is perfectly normal to be gay. I denied my true self for years and years and years. I thought about it long and hard and even prayed that it would go away. My conclusion: God created me to be who I am and I am gay. Don't ever not be yourself because you in denying your true self will give you a life of misery and hurt!!

It's perfectly normal for men to be attracted to men. It's been happening since the first written or depictions of mankind. You will have homophones because people lack the ability to open thier minds to try understand or accept something they see as different or unnatural. So be yourself and be happy. Of someone does not agree with your lifestyle or rather if someone decides to no longer be associated with you because of your sexuality they never really cared in the first place.

yes it is normal to be happy (gay has 2 meaning but the first ones more common) it is also natraul to be the other gay too. im a lesbian so im a ''gay'' female.
