Is it normal to be female and obsessed with pregnancy?

I am a 21 year old girl, mother of a one year old, and for as long as I can remember I have been obsessed with pregnancy. More specifically the growing belly aspect of pregnancy. I wish I could experience it over and over again. I am seriously thinking about becoming a surrogate! Do you think it is normal for a girl to be obsessed with her belly swelling and growing? Opinions please!

Perhaps, what you have is a pregnancy fetish.

  • I can't relate to this or understand this because I am a man. As long as you can properly take care or find good care of the kids you bring into this world I don't really see a problem with this. **Rubs one out quickly before anyone sees**

Interesting that this has received more no votes than yes so far. I would guess that a fair few of those no votes are from people who don't understand the strength of maternal urges and the almost need to be a mother. Maybe males, or younger females, or females who don't have it so much (although, most do). Perhaps you're a bit fixated on a certain aspect of the process, but I think it's probably just maternal urges manifesting in this way. It is an amazing process, physically, and one I am scared of, but hope to go through myself one day.

My opinion is WHAT? No you're not weird for it, but that's the complete opposite of me. I fear pregnancy, not because of the swelling belly, but the fact that there's a little person growing inside of you... EGH it's just so alien-like to me! But hey, if that's what makes you happy go for it! Just don't have kids just to have them!

Normal to want to be pregnant and experience the joys along with it. Idk if it's normal to like the growing belly aspect so much as to become a surrogate or even consider it. It's your womb, though.

Honestly, I've always had the opposite sort of feelings in regards to pregnancy since I was probably three years old. I saw my mother come out of the hospital in a wheelchair with my baby sister and lost my little rugrat mind! When I got older and learned about labor pain, stretch marks and other complications I knew it wasn't for me.
