Totally normal. I do this all the time! I'm the only one who knows the real me. I can't say it's the healthiest thing, but I have lived this way my entire life so I wouldn't know.

I think it's more fake to try to be "normal". Just be yourself.

fake !! huh ..yeah fake every one is ....
-we laugh when we want to cry and scream like anything..
-we meet a lot of those people for whom we feel like stabbing them to death...
-we show sympathy and care for many of those competitive friends whom we want to defeat at the lowest...
we talk about bad habits and evils yet we are full of them...
-we call many girls/boys hot and beautiful and want to be their boy/girl friends but we never want to be in a serious life long relations...

at last we all talk about not being fake and advise people being ones own self but indeed we are FAKE!!

Yea it's pretty normal, many people do this but why be fake when you can just be yourself?

    Yep perfectly normal.

Saving face and gaining face is a normal way of life for many people. This means putting on the appearance of being happy, nice, friendly and a all around good person is normal, even IF its all a lie. Usually I find that people are the opposite of how they are in public or at work, the overly nice person at work is usually a bitch at home and the controlling pain in the ass person at work is usually a wimp at home.
