Is it normal to be disgusted by pda?

Today, on public transportation these 2 about 40 year olds sat right in front of me. Someone threw a glass bottle on the train, it caused a loud noise so they struck a short "what just happened?" conversation up with me. Then, two minutes later, while I still sit right in front of them and they know they have my attention since they just talked to me, the woman starts stroking the man's thigh. Then she kisses his neck, he strokes her back I am thinking they are about to get it on, then they start french kissing, more and more intensely, so that I can hear the sounds. I felt harrassed and disgusted by the exhibitionism, it's like being forced to watch strangers doing foreplay.
Is this normal?

    I've always felt uncomfortable about PDA. You're not alone and it's normal.

      yes, if it's in a party setting and they're drunk I can still tolerate it but I don't understand why people feel the strong urge to be intimate in public during the day where everyone else is forced to witness it. I don't do it when I'm in relationships either (a kiss or hug are okay but I mean actual public make-out sessions). And I find it a bit harrassing like an exhibitionist forcing you to see something you didn't ask for

    I don't mind simple Public Displays of Affection. A quick simple kiss is a public display of affection. But anything longer than 2 seconds is just a couple getting caught in the heat of the moment and getting sexual, this I can not stand, get a freaking room.
