I am so confused by this treatment on IIN. There are troll users who are abusive, offensive and disgusting on a daily basis, yet complaints about them are ignored, despite a long history of them dealing out abuse.
is it normal I question the integrity of the site when good and helpful users come second to the trolls?
I fully agree. It's annoying. I even noticed myself starting to troll here and there. This site use to have one to two trolls now it has a lot. I also feel like the good users of this site have left/are leaving...and eventually there will be nothing but trolls.
Another post about someone taking the trolls seriously. It's an adult site. Assuming you're an adult, just ignore them and move on.
That's why I stopped using this site as regularly a long time ago.
Sadly, there's always going to be a small amount of people who are persistent in ruining the site for everyone else. I don't have the time for these sort of people.
We need you to name names so we can gather a committee and sub-committees to investigate the committees to get to bottom of the trolling. There are plenty of clearly marked signs 'No Trolling, No Nets, and No Drag Lines.'
Some people lack any sense of human decency and it's an outrage I tell you. An outrage.

I try to not involve myself with trolls or assholes tooooo much on here. They thrive on pissing people off, so I may indulge them a little bit before rolling my eyes and laughing at them. They don't bother me very much.
I think this site would be a little more boring if every single troll was banned. You need someone to stir the pot and cause a little agitation. I kind of enjoy occasionally getting attacked by a troll/asshole because then I can experiment with replies. Unless they are belligerent, they will certainly poke holes in my argument, so it is nice seeing how I can improve on it. Most of the time I am amused by how ridiculous they are.
With all the offensive content on the internet, I'm sure message forum trolls are of the least concern.
Could you give some examples? The integrity of the site is as much down to the users of the site as the owners and creators.

Aren't trolls mean? Making fun of stupid people that take everything so seriously must make them the worst people anywhere in anytime in history. They should all be herded together and put in buses with the exhaust piped back inside and riven around until they die.
That, or be made to live under a bridge and fed exclusively on billy goats.
