I really like this guy who is a little over a year younger than me. I'm 18 and he is 16 and will be 17 in about 4 months. Is it normal to be with him? Is it weird? What's your opinions on this topic? I know some people don't think anything of it and some think its weird for a girl to be with someone younger than them.
I too am 18 and my boyfriend of 6 months is 16 but will be 17 in June. I personally prefer guys that are a little younger than me. It's only about a year or so difference, not a big deal. Lol. You shouldn't feel weird or like your relationship is forbidden or anything (idk what emotions you're feeling, i'm just kinda guessing here). It's completely normal. Of course there will always be people who wont approve of this, but as long as you're happy then it doesn't really matter what others think. It's just that when we're this young, an 18 year old dating a 16 year old seems like a whole world of difference when in all reality, it's not(: haha. My parents are like, 6 years apart in age but it doesn't seem like a big deal because they're older, you know?

It is also a little weird because I'm 18 with a baby and graduated and he is still a junior in high school. And doesn't even drive. But he's the sweetest person I've ever met and I really care about him.
Half your age, and then add 7.
As a general rule, that's the youngest a person that it's socially acceptable for you to date.
So yes, that is fine.
And that said, my friend was going out with someone who was 15 when he was 18, nearly 19, and they're still together now, 5 years later. So yes it's fine.
