Is it normal to be creeped out by google

I work for an online company and have a current 6 month contract with Google. This means they monitor everything I do on my computer. It's a little weird but I have nothing to hide so it doesn't really bother me. It's normal to be creeped out though..but it isn't just google that spies haha.

I think another scary thing about google is it knows more about you than maybe friends or family. people hove grown more comfortable asking a computer questions than they are asking a trusted human. you can ask google the most private and embarassing things and people TRUST it. This allows google to get inside your head.

And I agree with you babysheep. Religion was invented to give us choice, the choice to have faith there is something out there to keep us safe. All choice does is keeps us under control.

they own the business and they keep records. they probably sell info to marketing firms. it doesn't suprise me.

What's so creepy about wanting to show you ads you might be interested in rather than ads you are most likely not going to be interested in?

all search engines do it, it is how they are able to show you adds directed towards you, its nothing to worry about you have nothing to hide so no need to worry it would only be worrying if you where looking for something illegal or sick,
Government's know what you are doing online also they have the ability to watch what you are doing in real time, and even take over your computer, disconnect you,
but I guess you are only worried about what google collects,

the only information google would collect is
your search history.

I'm creeped out by them too. They own almost everything on the internet, and the internet is one of the most important tools for us now. So they could just shut it down if we don't comply. That's fucking scary.

Yahoo does it too. But they do it a little more secretly.

wow.....I didn't know they did that....but I guess a lot of websites do that...it's pretty unavoidable if you're gonna use the internet.

My friends and I used to say 'The Japanese are watching us' cause every time we'd have an idea about something, we'd see it in an anime a week later. It was SO creepy.

could be a true government conspiracy. I have a theory that theres an unknown government of the world out there doing all sorts of nasty shit behind our backs, possibly they created the bible to instill fear to maintain control over humanity.
