You need to go to the doctor. Having shortness of breath can be a serious issue by it's self, but it can be a sign for a worse underlying cause especially if it is a recurring thing. Things that can cause shortness of breath can be simple things like exercise, obesity, or asthma, but other things that can cause shortness of breath are things like congestive heart failure, lung disease, pneumothorax. Lot's of things can cause shortness of breath. Chances are it's most likely nothing, but it could be something. So the best choice is to go see a doctor so they can run tests on you and figure out whether your shortness of breath is caused by a more serious underlying problem.
