Is it normal to be confused about your own biological gender?

I'm just going to come out and say that I was born with an intersex disorder. A wider used term would be hermaphrodite. I had some corrective surgeries when I was still young and I was raised as a female, but I'm pretty sure that whatever they did to remove the male-ness inside of me didn't completely fix everything. I have to shave my face once in a while because I have way to much facial hair for a normal girl (I could practically grow a beard if I wanted), my breasts are pretty small, and sometimes I just don't feel very girly. Is this normal? Do you think I should see if there is any other things the doctors could do to make me more female?

  • You should see your doctor. Obviously, you still have some testosterone. Did the doctor ever give you hormone blockers?

Given what's happened to you, I think it is very normal to be confused about your gender.

Do you want to be more female? if you do then you should talk to your doctor.
