Is it normal to be completely sickened and horrified by babies?

This goes for both babies and toddlers. Humans only. I'm a 24 year old girl. I've been like this since as long as I know. I seriously cannot stand touching babies, seeing them, or hearing them. They're disgusting to me. If they come near me or touch me, I start stuttering, I want to punch it in the face, or I want to push it away. Sometimes I simply jump and run.

I cannot call a baby by its gender, they are simply an "it". They make me queasy and scared. If they're in the room, I have to leave. Even the thought of them makes me sick. Like my stomach literally turns and I feel like vomiting.

How normal/common is this?

I apologize for these other commenters. I can relate to you very well. ESPECIALLY when I'm eating and I see one of those slobbering, smelly creatures. Then I seriously lose my appetite. I always hated it when my mom babysat, and I'd come downstairs for breakfast and one of those little things comes up to the wooden gate set up to keep them in the room, then they would stare at me, with their creepy alien-like eyes. I would make sure to turn my chair from them because I can't bare to see them.
And just because we were once babies ourselves does not mean we have to automaticly like them. It makes no sense. I never said I wanted to be a brain-dead, crapping machine. I never said I liked myeslf as a baby. I hate that I was one.
And I feel the same way of they can't have genders. They're just a bunch of "its" to me.

I think it means you don't have a chemical/hormone that people are born with. Humans need it so they have that instinct to protect babies or kids (to keep a steady population). I think. XD

I don't blame you, they slobber and vomit and cry and make all that noise ugh! But if they make you literally sick you might just have a sensitive stomach. Kids bother me too so I guess I can relate. Just don't actually hit them or you could get yourself into trouble.

I don't hate babies but a lot of the time I find them disgusting. I can't eat around babies because they really put me off my food. They dribble, vomit and go to the toilet all over themselves and I find it gross, but I never get the urge to hit them, that shit's not normal and definitely not morally right. Stay away from children.

I agree with you! It was my friend's birthday, and me and some other girls, decided to take her to a fancy, expensive restaraunt. It was lovely and quiet, with not much noise. It was PERFECT until these stupid people decided to take a screaming baby into the building. We had to sit next to them. It was being sick, crying (more like screaming), throwing things of the table etc. We asked our waiter to move and they said they were about to kick them out because everyone was complaining. Also, once, a baby projectile vomited in a swimming pool. YUP. I would've banned them from there. Just saying. Babies are the worst. I'm happy with my dogs, cats and guinea pigs (my boyfriend aswell!). My mum doesn't care that I won't have babies.

We only had to pay half of the price because of those idiots btw.

Well babies are disgusting but you seem to have an irrational fear of them.

don't forget you were at that age once in you life how would you like it if people thought of you that way. Ask yourself? I do hope this problem of yours goes away. :)

Kids make me super nervous. I must be missing that Mommy gene. Just don't procreate; nobody wants a mom who hates kids. Not having children is such a possible choice in this generation, so what if you won't make a good mom? You'll be good at something else.

It's normal to not like them, but not to the extent you're taking it. I know a lot of people who don't like babies but more in the sense that they (and including me) would not want to have one. The urge to harm them is not normal.

Babies are the most beautiful and amazing things in all creation. I pity people who can't, and won't see that.
