i hope i'm not the only one.
i'm 19 and listen to the likes of the doors, grateful dead, nirvana, pink floyd, led zeppelin, frank zappa...
when i hear people discussing and reciting lyrics by LMFAO or katy perry i literally cringe. "sexy and i know it....wiggle wiggle wiggle yeah"
what ever happened to music that had substance, meaning and emotion?

    Modern music fucking sucks. A lot of what OP mentioned also sucks. 1900-1950 was the best era of music, and no I'm not a a hipster. Zarah Leander, Marleen Dietrich, Fred Astaire....all great singers.

    You're 19?! You are so NOT normal for your age & GOD LOVE YA for it. If more people your age listened to your playlist, things would be a whole lot better than they are. We wouldn't have shit like nICKImontage or Justice Beaver.

    Stop generalizing all of todays music as pop. Either go and actually look for music or deal with autotuned shit for the rest of your life. Your choice.

    Everyone has their own tastes in music. I pretty well like all of it as each type of music has its purpose for me. Some of it is to relax and has no real lyrics (classical, enya etc...)and some of it is to work out too (lyrics not so great but the beat is good) and some of it is when I feel angry and need to let it out. I dont hate any one type, and I dont mind if people like music that I dont necessarily enjoy....... you can listen to whatever you like anytime these days so meh

    I think that pop music sucks too, but I live with some people who listen to it nonstop so I guess they see something in it.

    It seems like most analogue radio stations are obliged to play pop all the time. We have such a thing as classical fm so why on earth can't we have an all rock station?

    I'm so tired of people whinning about modern music! I think most music of today is upbeat, and has some nice sound to it, to dance to! Everyone has their own taste in music, so why go around moaning that music is dead?! Alot of people don't agree!
