Is it normal to be bugged by people's grammar

It doesn't matter where you read, it's always the same story. A lot of people don't know how or when to use "there, their, and they're" and "to, two, and too." is it normal for me to want to yell at them and ask why they don't know how to use these very basic English words?!

Yes, I'm the same exact way. The second that someone shows bad grammar they lose all credibility with me.

I am the exact same way. I see sentences all over the Internet that are chock-full of errors, such as: "She can't breath around her brother and sister-in-law because there always smoking alot. There cigarette smoke effects her lungs. She asks them, 'Do you ever here me when I tell you that your smoking to much?' They reply, 'Your always sick to!' She shoots back, 'Do you want to loose a lung? Do you also want me to risk loosing my life when I see you?' They answer, 'Well, you should of known better then to come around here.'"

I automatically think: "She can't breath? A place is always smoking? A lot constitutes one word? Where cigarette smoke? Smoke puts her lungs into effect? Do you where me? Smoking belongs to them? Where is this Much place? Her always sick what? Sick to where? Untie a lung? Risk untying her life? 'Should of' does not exist."

It is: "She can't breathe (or take a breath) around her brother and sister-in-law because they're always smoking a lot. Their cigarette smoke affects her lungs. She asks them, 'Do you ever hear me when I tell you that you're smoking too much?' They reply, 'You're always sick too!' She shoots back, 'Do you want to lose a lung? Do you also want me to risk losing my life when I see you?' They answer, 'Well, you should have known better then to come around here.'"

I will admit that I am a bit of a grammar Nazi. I find it sad how people still can't grasp the difference because this is taught in elementary school. Therefore, if you're old enough to use a computer, let alone the Internet, you're old enough to know better. That being said, it takes A LOT for me not to play grammar cop on sites such as Facebook and YouTube.

I am the same way. It seems to irritate me so much because I feel it's not that difficult to figure out. It really bothers me when someone doesn't capitalize their I.

Sometimes I don't "like" a page on Facebook because I can't bear to see the awful spelling and grammar on my profile.

Ok. How about when people say birfday instead of birthday? Or, say deaf instead of meaning death? That also makes me want to correct them. Grrrr!

Yes! I cannot stand it when people use incorrect grammar. It makes them look ignorant, and I often find myself correcting them. I even correct errors that I find in newspapers and letters!
