Is it normal to be bloated and retaining water after eating carbs?

I've got a problem - whenever I eat carbs and sugar, I end up being bloated and retaining water (fingers, thighs, cheeks...) I feel horrible! I'm overweight and I hate my body. I hate it so, so much. And after these binges, I look even fatter and it takes a day of water fasting to get rid of all the excess water weight. Ugh! What should I do?

You could try drinking some peppermint tea. I read it reduces bloating. I drink it throughout the day because I'm afraid of bloating. Try to eat more veggies and fruits. If you keep fasting and binging, your body is going to store the food as fat for the days you fast. My cousin is overweight and exercises once in a while. She hasn't been exercising for the past few weeks, but she's still losing weight because she started eating healthier foods.

Get off of the computer? Exercise even if it's just 5 minutes a day. Get motivated. Ride a bicycle, walk up and down stairs, run, jog, etc.
