Is it normal to be blind for a while after standing up?

I have the same thing, it doesn't really matter how long I've been sitting though. It could be a cardiovascular problem but it's more likely that it's just low blood pressure from standing up so quickly after being in a sedentary state.
Still wouldn't be a bad idea to tell your doctor at your next appointment.
Ha. It's just that you stood up too quickly and your blood pressure hasn't adjusted as quickly. It's not dangerous - very normal. Worse case scenario you'd faint, then come around and all be fine again.
It's more than likely a blood-flow thing. How much cardio working out do you get?
No judgement. My own cardio has consisted entirely of manual labor for thirty plus years now.

The fact that you didn't work this out on your own does not bode well.
