Is it normal to be bestfriends with the guy you use to like?

So about 10 months ago I met this guy in my geometry class. We had to sit together and I hated it so much I thought he was the dumbest thing to walk this planet and I couldn't wait to get out of that class. Then about 8 months ago I he came in late one day and I noticed him and he asked me for a pencil and I gave him the one in my hand I didn't have another pencil to use but I fell head over heels for this dude I thought he was cute and funny and maybe not as dumb as I thought he was I think I also maybe fell in love. So about 4 months ago (still in love at this point) I gave him my number and 3 months later I'm like why the hell did I ever like this guy hes weird and not that good looking but hes really nice and he means well so know hes one of my bestfriends....is this normal or weird?

    I am friends with a few guys that I used to date (currently in a long-term relationship of 7 years and have a child together)

    Yep it's normal. There's this guy I used to like, don't still like him in that way but we're pals. He's a cool guy. No matter what anyone says, males and females can be friends without it being romantic or sexual lol

    i think it normal i want to be bestfriends with the guy like/love he's sweet and he just came back to school today 5/10/12 :) so happy

      I know how you feel but if you love him then I don't suggest friends Bc toy will get stuck in 'the friend zone'
