I'm 37 and find myself attracted to girls as young as 16. Really I don't even know their age. It could be a young girl at the mall or something. Legal age here is 17 but it seems like it would be wrong. Yet I still fantasize. ..

Most men are attracted to young girls. It's not uncommon for guys to like girls as young as 14, acting on those desires is another story entirely though.
Some people as young as 14 can already be 4-5 years into puberty (like an 18 year old).
There of course are many moral and legal issues with pursuing children, but to simply have those fantasies is completely normal.
Even having fantasies about people much younger, would no longer be typical, but as long as they aren't acted on I don't see any issue.
I also don't think that your age matters here.
But the issue arises once you get into acting on them, for one it is illegal. And also some would argue when you are that young, you are unable to make those decisions.
Is sleeping with a 37 year old really going to benefit the life of a 16 year old?

Ah! The awekening age of girls. The age of discovery and the age of temptation. I so wish I was that age again and on the first step of discovery as a girl. Totally normal, but, in a civilized society it's not accepted. You will only cause yourself pain and frustration if you continue. When I start to think that girl needs to be fucked, I pretend I did and it's after and there is nothing to talk about of any interest, it would be like you got to go home kid, back to your parents house... stops the fantasy and that's good.
Getting turned on by a hot young body is normal. Having the desire to socially interact at their level and bond intimately with them makes you a sick fuck. You look but you don't fucking touch.
If he wants young girls, he should stick to girls of 18 and 19. At least they are consenting adults.
To be attracted to them? Probably.
To act on that attraction? Definitely not.
I'm not saying it's impossible for a 37 year old and a 17 year old to be in a healthy sexual relationship, but it certainly wouldn't be normal.
More normal than most people will admit. Our culture is very anti-pedophilia, obviously for good reason. So anything that remotely resembles it is seen as terrible. But in reality, it's just evolution and human nature to be attracted to healthy looking, sexually mature members of the opposite sex - which many girls around that age are.
It's wrong in a social and cultural sense to act on those feelings. So just accept, ignore it and move on.
