Is it normal to be attracted to video game characters?

I just want to know how u got a girlfriend if ur like this, like really dude, really? i mean loving like there ur favorite like bad ass is oky but they arent real. i mean i love that super ass kicking girl from "kickass" but i dont "love" love her. just hope one day, when i have kids, my kids will be half as cool.

It's okay to admire them, like think they are hot and that. I mean Kilik, Raphael, Siegfried... don't get me started on how hot they are.

But alas they are not real, meh :/

alot of these characters are made this way so that if/when they make a sequel you want to buy and play it, thus they get more money

I understand I have fallen in love with so many video game characters and always the bad ones so I think that it is alright just don't go dumping your gf over one. :P

yeah, id like to think its normal. You feel some sort of connection to who they are and what they go through. If you love a character, you may not be able to actually get with them, but you at least find someone with a similar personality. Some are probably developed with this in mind. (e.g, everyones furry for krystal!) also, krystal from starfox is awesome!

Auron from FFX... the game isn't even that great but I play it because i'm crazy about that character. I would take him out back and do things to him.

Girls do it too. Just saying. Your girlfriend will probably not respond to this well though. Some things are better kept to ourselves. Because if my boyfriend told me something like "I'm in love with Wonder Woman from DCU" i'd be like "Here's a list of male characters that I masturbate to regularly. Sorry you're not on the list."

I think it could be that I really enjoy character design, and I find these characters to be amazingly well done all around. I always think my characters could be better, or that I could be better, and I'd like to meet them and if they were real I know that a bunch of people would be all over them.

Well, I develop crushes on characters in some of the books I read, some of the anime I watch, and yes, some of the video games I play but i don't love them because I know that they are incapable to ever love me back.
