Is it normal to be attracted to someone in their 50s?

I've always been attracted to older men and have never dated anyone under my age. But there is someone I am very attracted to, he's 53, that's like a 30 year age difference. I mean, my mom is 50, so he could be my father. I sometimes think I tend to be attracted to older men because I haven't had a father figure in my life, which is something I've heard before in the past. But I love everything about him. He has no kids, and he's successful in his field. I feel guilty. Especially since his fiancé died of brain cancer in 2011. I'm sure I'm not the only one. I just want some advice.

I will admit, I do have a crush on one of my teachers, who's also in their early 50's, so you're not alone.

As a 66 year old guy in a committed relationship with a 25 year old girl, I can only say that it could work out very well.
Give it a shot, what have you got to lose?

I don't see anything wrong with that. I'm 56, and I would love to meet a girl your age.
