Is it normal to be attracted to my step-daughter?

I've been reading some of the other stories that were posted on this website, but I need to get this off my chest.

I have been married to my wife for 4 years now and we have 2 boys together. She has 3 other children 1 of which has been living in the same household as I since she was 14. While she has always been an attractive young lady, I have been noticing her more and more lately. She is a bit thick, but I've caught myself staring at her legs, breasts, occasionally when she accidentally flashes her underwear when she bends over or steps into the car, and when I go into her room to ask her something and walk in when she is asleep (usually fully dressed). Unlike the other guys that have posted here, we never really had a close relationship, its more like a hit or miss thing when both of us are in a good mood or not. Now granted my wife is 20 years older than I am, and I am closer in age to her daughter, but is this normal? I've even masturbated while thinking of her and what I could do. I have never acted on these urges outside of masturbation, and I do believe I have the control to not do it, but I have no idea what to do, talk to wife? talk to stepdaughter? keep it with the other skeletons in my closet?

    Would you tell your wife that you're attracted to your neighbor, or a co-worker ?

    I personally wouldn't take that very well;!

    so i don't think telling your wife that your attracted to her daughter would really be any different.

    It's not the worst thing in the world, at least you aren't close and you haven't seen her grow up or anything..so she's 18 now? so at least you arent a pedo, congrats. The best thing you can do is, um, stop going into her room and watching her sleep or your wife might ask you what the hell you are doing? Obviously people do get crushes when they are in long term relationships but its difficult this girl is in the same house as you because normally I'd advise you to just stay away from her as much as possible. Talking to your stepdaughter is only going to freak the hell out of her, as is talking to your wife. I would try to avoid her and think about her as little as possible, and yeah try and keep it a secret, no good can come of telling anyone how you feel.

    DO NOT talk to your wife about it EVER. It is normal to have that sort of attraction to a female who you are not related to.

    It's not appropriate though, sorry. It's ok to think about but nothing else.

    As long as you don't act on these thoughts, you're not a bad person. For your own sake and for the sake of innocent children whose bodies no one as the right to use for their own pleasure, it would be best to talk to someone professional so you can get to the root of why you feel this and you can move on with your life and be happy.

    My step dad was attracted to me. He did so well things that he should not have done. I'll live with this rest of my life and it makes me think differently of men. I think that you should tell your wife before some options happen. If you love your wife you should tell her. Trust is the most important thing in a relationship. Tell her unless you want to take things further with your stepdaughter. Then you're probably mess up everything! You married your wife not her daughter.
