Is it normal to be attracted to femeninity?

First things first, I'm a 100%% straight guy and I'm very much so attracted to the usual womanly assets. However, what turns me on more than anything is their femeninity.

By this I mean when women are being gentle and sweet and just generaly acting the way girls do. This is especially present in the way they act with their friends; its this typical girlie behavior that I find really beautiful and attractive. Along with this is typicaly femenine things - clothes like dresses and skirts, features like long hair, basically anything that screams woman.

This is all well and good, but strangely by extention, I find the thought of ever being part of this, i.e in behavior, wearing the clothes, having a girls night in etc, also quite exiting.

Am I normal?

    I wish this world would treat people as people rather than their sex. All the shit youre talking about is gender roles, social programming controlling us and telling us how to live our lives. Girls don't have to be a certain way, neither do you. In societies that don't gender all their products like they do here, you'd get to see people for how they really are.

    I'm not saying there's anything wrong with having preferences, just pointing out that social control is very prevalent in the media. Watch the film Tough Guise if you're curious, a lot of it's about male stereotypes and gender in society and it's influences... Really interesting stuff. :)

    The last paragraph, although a passing thought, does creep me out a bit as if I were ever to do these things (which I don't intend to) it would be rather gay...

    I would much rather see women behaving/wearing/doing these things, as I'm sure would they!

    Of course, there's nothing wrong with feminimity or attraction to it, but what exactly does feminimity mean to you? I just wonder if you agree with the implication of some of these comments, that to be openly sexual or "heavy-handed," (sounds like he means strong or independent) is unfeminine. I can't tell by what you put in the post, I'm just curious. It seems a lot of people who say they like their girls very feminine really mean they like their girls submissive, and "modest", and a little helpless.

    Are really saying you like your girls weak?

      When I say 'femeninity' I mean girls who act particularly girly, or women who are lady like. This doesn't mean floosy, dependent bimbos, but women who are particularly in touch with what makes them women and who can by all means be 'strong'. I don't associate this with weakness and i think it is a tragedy of the modern age that we so often do.

    Yeah dude, your normal, usually femininity plays a small role in attraction, but soe people just love it, there's nothing un-normal about it!

    I'm like you; I like what makes girls...girly. The more feminine, the better, so you're not alone with that. I prefer a feminine girl to a masculine one, and even the girls who act whore-ish today. When girls act like sluts, that is a complete turn-off for me.

    I don't know whether that's normal or not, but what I do know is that if we all thought like you, we'd probably have a waaaaay more cleaner society and media. Either way, I'm probably the same with you on that (especially when some do the "peek-a-boo" hairstyle).

    Personally, I blame radical feminism for the resurgence in all these heavy handed types you see today.

      Why would society be cleaner? I don't understand. Do you mean cleaner as in more modest, less openly sexual? Right, because a woman being sexual is just dirty. No one likes sluts, right? I bet you're christian, aren't you?
