Is it normal to be attracted to 'bad' boys?

One of the other girls at my college just told me that she's really attracted to this 'bad' boy at our school. He's one of the guys that's always going on about the latest 'bitch' that he's been with and he's always teasing other students (calling a cute gay guy in our class a 'disgusting faggot' and shoving him around, for example).

I am so shocked that anyone could be attracted to someone like this - surely this isn't normal?

    How bad can he be if he's in college? Sounds like a bully punk to me.

    I'd be more impressed if he was in prison.
