    No it's not normal.

It happens, but that doesn't make it normal. It's a mental illness, and I'd say the prevalence is low, too low for it to be considered common and therefore the norm.

"Disc race to z humane race"

        WTF.

First of all, go buy a dictionary.

Second of all, being anorexic is not "a freak of nature" It's a horrible, horrible disease and illiterate fucks like YOU are the reason why millions of people out there have it.

Anorexia is a mental disease. Mental diseases are not normal. Ill mental health is not normal even though it is quite common.
I used to suffer from anorexia and can't believe you are questioning if it's normal :/ I used to have it bad but I am under no illusion that it is normal. This post is borderline offensive in all honesty.

Don't be embarrassed. There's absolutely nothing wrong with getting help. Be glad that your family had enough sense to get you help from a trained professional.

I had anorexia and it seems I have some other forms of eating disorders too. For both my first time developing it and my second relapse, my family did nothing to help me. I was a minor experiencing something life threatening yet those fucking twits DID NOTHING to help me. Instead, they were actually more concerned about what the neighbours would say or if they might call the police. If they were smart, it seems to me, that to avoid a possible visit from the police that those fuckers would have sent me to a therapist. Instead, their form of treatment was screaming at me, monitoring me while I ate, forced me to eat, threatened to put me in a hospital, etc.

Now, I fear that I am on the verge of another relapse!

Yes, it's normal but it doesn't mean people should be it.

Are you stupid? Why would you even ask such a stupid question? I know you know the answer to that one, don't you? Come on now, tell the truth....

It's not normal to be anorexic, no. If it were then we as a society would have some serious shit to attend to.
However, it is unfortunately not abnormal. Due to societal standards, the images if photoshopped perfection we are exposed to, and peer pressure, a lot of young people develop eating disorders.
What is important is that the underlying issues are addressed and sorted :)

I doubt it society has become a lot fatter since the invention of fashion magazines. The western nations that consume the fashion magazines and photoshopped pictures have gained weight not lost it. I just don't buy that that is the cause especially considering that anorexic people often have poor relationships with food from a very young age.

      Probably genetic.
