Is it normal to be annoyed when people speak with poor grammar?

So I'm not a grammar freak, but when people are talking to me and say things like "I don't feel good" I can't help but think " It's I don't feel well! Not I don't feel good!" it just really bugs me. It's really not that hard to learn how to speak with correct grammar.

Double negative's and prepostions at end of sentences annoy me. Also , people that spell the word lose with 2 o's.

Same with me, but if someone uses incorrect grammar while texting or IMing. If they use ur or any of that it annoys me a lot.

Yes, and especially bothersome are double negatives.

  • my opinion, you're a grammar freak. it's not a terrible thing but if you're thinking about how the other person is speaking then it's going to be harder to listen to what they're trying to say.

We all have things that bother us, but it's important to know when to call them out. If people are taking the time to talk to you about how they are feeling, it would be considerate to pay attention to what they are really trying to tell you. We all live busy lives & have so many thought running through our heads constantly, it's normal to make grammar mistakes or even forget certain things. There are bigger problems out there.
