Ok, so whenever I like something kind of particular, it becomes my life. I really love music so, naturally, it has become my life. Whenever I find an "underground" band I love, I get kind of upset when I see someone else who also loves that particular band. It has become so bad, I even started listening to foreign music because I am the only person who is interested in foreign music. I am still trying to discover my identity so I am guessing I am possessive over my music because it is part of my identity?? IIN?!

    i found an awesome underground-ish band about a year ago and i got really upset when no one knew about them. i just got really tired of listening to what everyone else listened to, so i turned to foreign music as well. now, that is not the same situation that you are in, but i have felt like i enjoy stuff less when everyone knows about it.

    @badmanalive It's not even like that. This band is special to me, the music they produce is the music I live by. They are the reason I get up in the morning and they have saved my life. There was a point where I was so depressed, I didn't know what to do. When I found them, they helped me see the beauty in this world and that is special to me. It's one of my connections to the bandana their music. This band has helped me when I was at the end of my hope and that is something nobody/ nothing else could do. So when I see this band is someone else's life, it feels like it kind of steals that specialness away from me. They truely ARE my life and it feels like someone is trying to steal it away. I agree, music was made to be shared and I lobe that they're getting more fame but it just seems like someone has taken my life away.

    like you said, you havent found your identity yet. when you do you will be able to enjoy whatever it is you truly enjoy no matter how weird or how mainstream or how lame someone thinks it is. music is meant to be shared.
