Is it normal to be an adult living with your grandmother?

I pay child support. So, even though I work my ass off at my job. I don't make a lot of $$$. I pay rent and my mother lives with me as well. It makes us feel stupid that we're grown adults living with an elderly woman. But, we don't won't my grandmother to end up in a nursing home, ever.

I'm currently living with my grandmother and mother. Partly to help her out so she can stay at home longer and partly to save for a big move.

It used to be normal for families to keep elderly relatives at home and look after them instead of putting them in nursing homes. If you're lucky nowadays, you can choose the best option for both of you.

Your situation sounds like everyone benefits from it in some way.

What you are doing sounds normal. Especially with you paying child support. I certainly understand you feeling uneasy about this, but there may come a time when your grandma may have to go to a nursing home health reasons that you and your mom are unable to cope with. If and when this should happen I just hope that the two of you will realize that this is normal too.
