Is it normal to be allergic to a family member?

Now, I don't mean actual allergy, but whenever my mother is around, I feel like taking 30 showers at the same time with the strongest acid I can find. Sometimes, her presence is enough for me to self-arm. Our relationship has never been good so there's that, but my overly dramatic thoughts and reactions are fairly new. Is it normal?
